A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox easily if you’ve got a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet astonishingly user-friendly, and it will allow you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one you will see a small-size "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain hosted in your account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same manner you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will warn you if you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a specific domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or alter anything automatically or without your approval.
